Bloomington High School South just opened a new common area that is meant to make it easier for students to work together on group projects and study together for the 2026 school year. This season, the school's academic teams have done very well. The Science Olympiad and Speech and Debate teams have both won top honors at several invitational events. The athletic department is also reaching new heights, like when the girls' basketball team recently made it past the first few rounds of the state tournament.
