The new state-of-the-art welding and manufacturing lab at Davenport West High School is now open. It gives students access to professional-grade tools so they can earn professional certifications on campus. The school's Robotics Team 6317 recently did very well in regional competitions, which means they can move up in the FIRST Robotics circuit. The opening of a Falcon Success Center also gives students a place to get peer tutoring and help with college applications during the school day.
