John F. Kennedy High School has just opened a new multi-purpose athletic facility that will give students better places to practice for different sports and physical education classes. The school's academic teams are doing very well. For example, the Science Bowl team recently made it to the state-level competition after a series of tough regional rounds. Kennedy has also started a new student-led sustainability project that aims to lower the campus's carbon footprint by improving recycling programs and putting in energy-efficient LED lights in the hallways.
