Waipahu High School just opened its new $29 million Integrated Academy Learning Center, which is the first of its kind in the state. It has specialized labs for hydroponics, aquaponics, and a restaurant run by students. This school also made history this school year when its 'Ohana of Excellence Academy became the first special education group in the Hawaii Department of Education to earn college credit through an Early College course. The campus officially named January 10 "Waipahu Marauder Tennis Day" to celebrate the opening of new, high-quality tennis courts. This shows how committed the school is to helping its students succeed.
