South Broward High School's marine science and iCAN programs have been so good that the school was recently named a 2026 Magnet School of Distinction. The school is getting seniors involved in the "My Next Move" career exploration event, which helps them connect directly with local employers who are hiring after they graduate. The campus is also still a center for environmental leadership. Students are working on coastal conservation projects and doing hands-on marine biology field studies all over South Florida.
