Richard Milburn Academy recently held its spring graduation ceremony, which was a big deal for students who used the school's flexible, self-paced learning model to finish their work. The academy has started new community-based career workshops that let students work with local business leaders to get advice and shadow them at work. The goal of these programs is to help students who go to alternative high schools make the transition to college or other post-secondary education.
