The College Board recently put Pioneer High School on the 2026 Advanced Placement (AP) School Honor Roll and gave it a Silver-level award for its work to give students more chances to take college-level classes. The school still has a strong Dual Enrollment program with Río Hondo College. This lets students earn college credits on campus during the 2025–26 school year. Also, the athletic department has started a new varsity girls flag football program, giving female student-athletes new ways to compete.
