Chaparral High School is a well-known public high school in Temecula, California. It is part of the Temecula Valley Unified School District and serves students in grades 9–12. With a student-to-teacher ratio of about 25:1, it is known as one of the best schools in the area. About 2,800 students go there. The school is known for being one of the best because it has a lot of Advanced Placement options and a 35% participation rate. The school has a diverse student body, encompassing various backgrounds and interests. 68% of them are minorities, and 40% of them are economically disadvantaged. The students do very well in school, with a 76% proficiency rate in reading and a 50% proficiency rate in math. Students can also take tests like the SAT and ACT to get ready for college. The school is in a neighborhood where the average home price is about $750,000, and it has a lively campus life that makes it one of the best schools. Its main strengths are its high levels of academic achievement and its dedication to preparing students for success in the future, and it is one of the best high schools in California.

The $37 million Phase 2 modernization project at Chaparral High School is moving forward, and it will bring a state-of-the-art auxiliary gym, weight room, and dance studio to the school. The new buildings have a colorful mural on the outside and a big lobby that is meant to be a place for both competitive sports programs and community events to meet. Students also continue to benefit from a variety of Career Technical Education (CTE) pathways, such as specialized programs in Event Production and Health Science that give them the chance to earn college credit right away.
