About Public Safety Academy

Public Safety Academy is a public charter high school in San Bernardino, California, that teaches students in grades 9 through 12. It is the only high school in its district and is known as one of the best because it focuses on careers in public safety and has a tough academic program that includes leadership training. About 350 students attend the school, and there is one teacher for every 21 students. Students can take Advanced Placement classes, and 27% of them do. The campus has a lot of different cultures, with 98% of students being minorities and 73% of students being low-income. According to the performance data, 8% of students are good at math and 38% are good at reading. The school also helps students get ready for college by giving them access to the SAT and ACT. The Public Safety Academy is currently working on its academic goals for 2025–2026. These goals include creating specialized career paths in law enforcement, firefighting, and emergency medical services. The school's annual cadet inspections were recently held. This is a big event where students show off the discipline and leadership skills they learned through the academy's unique character-building curriculum. The campus is also expanding its Early College programs, which let students earn college credits in criminal justice and public safety while still meeting their high school requirements.
