The new Science and Performance Center at Rio Americano High School just opened. It has state-of-the-art chemistry labs and rehearsal spaces that are fit for professionals. The school's award-winning jazz program is getting ready for its spring festival, and they will be using the new theater's improved sound for their performances. The CIVITAS Academy at Rio has also started a new senior capstone project that focuses on getting students involved in their communities. Students will work with community leaders to solve problems in the environment and society in their area.
