The HBCU Step-Up program, a new dual-enrollment partnership between McLane High School and Fort Valley State University, has opened up new academic opportunities for students. They can now earn college credits that can be transferred. The school's Art Venture Production Academy is getting more and more attention for its professional-level graphic design and cinematography courses, which give students the chance to earn industry certifications. Also, members of the C-10 Mentoring & Leadership program recently reached a major academic goal by finishing their last semester with a high cumulative grade point average.
