Baker High School started the new year with its annual Academy Night, which showed off the specialized pathways in its Signature Academy that get students ready for high-paying, in-demand jobs. The fine arts department is still doing great. Recently, a number of students qualified for the state finals of the Walter S. Trumbauer High School Festival and got spots in the Alabama All-State Choir. The athletic department is also starting a new chapter with the hiring of a new head football coach for the 2025 season.
