Black Butte High School has reached a major goal by raising its four-year graduation rate to 92% thanks to the successful use of the "DEN Time" block, which provides targeted academic support and enrichment. The school is also adding to its hands-on curriculum with a new "Advanced Art" course. This gives students the freedom to create professional portfolios for upcoming state-level exhibitions. The district is also moving forward with plans for a new high school that will have updated spaces for career and technical education, as well as bigger areas for sports and other activities.
