State lawmakers have recently given a lot of support to UW Laboratory School in Laramie, which is working to keep the school open and its role in the community. A new plan aims to set up a system of governance that will keep the Lab School running.The development has gotten local families and teachers talking in a good way about how important it is to keep a variety of educational options in the area. A lot of people in the area see this effort as a way to honor the school's history and show that they want to keep creating new ways to learn.
Q1 Does the UW Laboratory School have programs for kids before or after school?
Ans. Yes, the school offers a few before- and after-school programs, but only if they are available and fit into the university's schedule.
Q2. Do parents want to help out at school or take part in activities?
Ans. Families can get involved by volunteering in the classroom, going to parent-teacher events, and taking part in community activities organized by the school.
Q3. What does UW Laboratory School do to help students who need extra help with their schoolwork?
Ans. The school provides small-group instruction, personalized support plans, and specific interventions for students who need extra help.
Q4. Do the lessons include field trips or other hands-on learning activities?
Ans. Yes, students do hands-on projects, go on field trips, and do other experiential learning activities to help them learn in the classroom.
Q5. Does the UW Laboratory School offer programs for counseling or social-emotional learning?
Ans. Yes, social-emotional learning is a part of everyday lessons, and students can get counseling and other help.
