The state health department recently honored North Elementary School for its wellness programs. It came in second place in the "Healthy Habits Schools" contest because of its garden-based learning, Kids Run Club, and healthy eating programs.
Q1. What kinds of activities do North Elementary School students do outside of school?
Ans. The school has seasonal clubs, art and music programs, STEM activities, and enrichment events, but only if there are enough staff and students are interested.
Q2: Does North Elementary School serve meals, and are there free or cheap options?
Ans. Yes, the school serves breakfast and lunch every day. Depending on district rules, some students may be able to get free or reduced-price meals.
Question 3: Do you have programs for students who need help with their studies?
Ans. Yes, North Elementary has tutoring, small-group instruction, and other programs to help students with Math, ELA, and other subjects.
Q4. How does the school talk to families?
Ans. Throughout the year, communication is kept up through newsletters, parent portals, email alerts, school apps, and parent-teacher meetings.
Q5. Does North Elementary want families and the community to get involved?
Ans. Yes, the school holds events like open houses, literacy nights, and chances for parents and the community to volunteer to get people involved.
