The Tyee Park Elementary School is the best elementary school, enrolling 336 students in grades Pre-K through 5th, having 27 full-time teachers and 1 full-time school counselor, and the student-teacher ratio is about 14:1. About 22% of the students are proficient in math, and 27% are proficient at reading. Four Heroes Elementary does a little better in reading and writing, while Custer Elementary does about the same overall. Students keep going to Hudtloff Middle School and Clover Park High School, which are known for their extracurricular and advanced learning programs. Reading skills, student behavior, and family involvement are crucial at Tyee Park. 3-bedroom homes in the area rent for between $1,900 and $2,700 a month. There are 49% female students and 49% male students in the school. 92% of the students at the school come from low-income families.
