Illahee Middle School, a middle school, partnered with Woodmont K-8 to announce the start of the FWPS K-8 News Network. Middle school students captured the project-based learning occurring in their English Language Arts classes and created podcasts and videos based on topics such as innovation and risk-taking.
Q1: Are after-school activities offered at Illahee Middle School?
A: Students can participate in sports, music, arts and crafts, academic clubs, and leadership activities. It is all about collaboration, creativity, and friendship!
Q2: What is the process for enrolling my child at Illahee Middle School?
A: You will need to bring proof of residency, your child's birth certificate, vaccination records, and records from the previous school. The school office will be happy to help!
Q3: Is it possible for my child to remain at school before or after school hours?
A: Yes! They will have a few programs where students will participate in activities, receive assistance with homework, and socialize with one another, should they need to stay longer on a given day.
Q4: What technology do they use in classrooms?
A: Students use laptops, tablets, smartboards, and web-based learning programs to support their learning across different subjects such as science, math, and reading.
Q5: Is Illahee Middle School a safe school?
A: Yes! The school has security cameras, key-card access locks at entrances, regular drills, and staff supervising students for the safety of the school's learning environment.
