Waterman Elementary School in Harrisonburg, VA, is the best elementary school. It has 559 students in grades PK-5 and 38 full-time teachers and 1 full-time school counselor. Waterman is too full. In 2025, the district suggested moving about 80 students to Bluestone Elementary to help with the overcrowding.

A: Go to the Harrisonburg City Public Schools registration site and send in proof of residency and immunization.

A: They need to go to the office to obtain a tardy slip. If they are late a lot, school staff may follow up with them.

A: Call the school attendance line before or on the day of the absence.
