Being Updated

Q: 1. How do I sign my child up for Stone Spring?
Ans: Harrisonburg City Public Schools handles enrollment. Families need to fill out the district's registration forms, show proof of residency, and meet the health and immunization requirements. (What the district usually does.) Stone Spring is a regular public school on the NCES list, not a charter school.
Q: 2. How can parents help out or get involved?
Ans: Parents can help out in classrooms and at events, join school committees, and volunteer through the school's parent involvement programs. Get in touch with the school office or PTO to find out what you need to do to volunteer (background checks, training). The school's website and social media (X / Twitter) show that they are reaching out to families and getting involved in the community.
Q: 3 How can I get school performance data (SOL test scores)?
Ans: To see Stone Spring's grade-by-grade scores in reading, writing, math, and other SOLs, go to Virginia's School Quality Profile and click on the "Assessments" tab.
Q: 4. What is the best way to get in touch with Stone Spring Elementary?
Ans: You can reach us at 1575 Peach Grove Ave, Harrisonburg, VA 22801, or by calling 540-574-1199.
Q:5 Are there programs for care or enrichment before or after school?
Ans: The data we looked at from public sources do not show a formal before- or after-school care program just for Stone Spring. Families should check with the school or district for "Extended Day" options.
