A heartwarming example of student leadership and empathy: a group of third-grade students (self-named the “Girl Squad”) at Golden Fields Elementary organized a hot-chocolate stand and raised $115 to purchase gifts, toys, and fidgets for their school’s Buddy Support Class (students with special needs).
