The Rice School is still one of the best places to learn Spanish and STEM. They just had a "Magnet Showcase" where they showed off how well their students could read and write in both languages and how well they could do engineering. Inquiry-based learning and teaching well are getting more attention, which is helping the campus grow academically more than it has in the last five years. Families are now looking into the "School Choice" options for 2026–2027 so that their kids can join this new K–8 learning community.
Q1. What special language focus does Rice Sch /La Escuela Rice give its students?
Ans. It is a Magnet campus that offers a specialized Spanish immersion program for students from kindergarten to eighth grade.
Q2. Are there any special middle school electives at Rice Sch / La Escuela Rice?
Ans. Middle school students can choose from a number of electives, such as robotics, advanced art, and a variety of technology-based classes.
Q3. How does Rice School separate middle and elementary school students?
Ans. The campus has separate wings for different ages so that kids can learn in environments that are right for their age. There are also times when kids from different grades can mentor each other.
Q4. Does Rice Sch/La Escuela Rice have any special STEM facilities?
Ans. Students can do experiments and learn advanced digital coding skills in the school's advanced science and computer labs.
Q5. Does Rice Sch /La Escuela Rice have any sports programs that are competitive?
Ans. Middle schoolers can play volleyball, basketball, and track and field events in district-wide sports leagues.
