About Stratford STEM Magnet School

Stratford STEM Magnet School is a public high school in Nashville, Tennessee. The Metro Nashville Public Schools (MNPS) are in charge of it. The school is for students in grades 9–12 and focuses on STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) education as well as a structured college- and career-preparatory curriculum. The school has about 15 students for every teacher, which means that the teachers can help each student with their schoolwork and lessons in a more personal way. Stratford STEM Magnet has core academic classes, STEM-focused pathways, Career and Technical Education (CTE), and magnet programs that help students improve their problem-solving and critical thinking skills. About 5% of students are good at math and about 11% are good at reading (ELA). Tennessee students take state tests, do things outside of school, and take advantage of enrichment opportunities that help them grow as people and students. Most students take state tests and tests to see if they are ready for college, like the SAT or ACT.
