In 2024 Shannondale Elementary started a $4 million expansion to their buildings to accommodate their growing student body. In March 2024 Mrs. Ezell was awarded B97.5 Teacher of the Month for her hard work. In January 2025 Superintendent Jon Rysewyk visited the school. He showed support and spoke with staff and students to recognize the school’s accomplishments.
