In April 2025, the Tennessee Office of the Comptroller published an investigative report concerning the MVES Educare program, revealing internal control deficiencies resulting in at least $18,854 in unaccounted charges between June 2023 and June 2024; district officials said they would correct those issues.
In 2025, Mountain View continues updating its instructional technology infrastructure, working with Johnson City Schools to expand WiFi access and upgrade classroom devices.
