Being Updated
Journey Elementary is becoming a place where people can come together and remember this fall. A new baseball field has been built right outside the school in memory of a young boy from the area. It happened because neighbors, volunteers, and businesses in the area worked together. At first, the project was just a simple plan to build a field. But when the idea came up to honor a child who loved sports, it gave it real heart and made it much more important. Families are already getting together at the field. Kids are running around the bases, neighbors are talking on benches, and parents are cheering from the sidelines. People in the area call it a "field of dreams" because it's a safe, beautiful place for anyone to gather, play, and make friends, not just young athletes.
