Being Updated
Recently Huron, South Dakota's Riverside Colony Elementary happily announced the start of its new "Outdoor Discovery Program," which students have quickly loved. The program gets kids interested in nature by taking them on guided hikes, letting them watch animals, and doing science experiments. It not only teaches kids about environmental science, teamwork, and leadership, but it also makes them love nature.Riverside Colony also just opened a beautiful new outdoor learning space with a garden, an outdoor classroom, and places to play creatively. Students can work on group projects, get some exercise, and improve their social skills in this space.
