Socastee Elementary School is a public school in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, that serves students in grades PK–5 within Horry County Schools. Socastee Elementary has 815 students and a 14:1 student–teacher ratio, which means that teachers can give each student more individual attention in class. The school gives students a strong foundation in the basics, with a focus on math and literacy skills. It also has extra activities and support services to help all of its students. A lot of different kinds of people go to school. Many of the students are from minority backgrounds, and many of them get free or reduced-price lunch. According to academic results, 52% of students were proficient in math and 48% were proficient in reading/ELA. These numbers are not too far off from the state averages. Resources that the district pays for help with running the school and teaching in the classroom, but there aren't many places where you can find out how much money each student gets. The school is in the Socastee neighborhood of Myrtle Beach and is known for being friendly and having strong ties to the community. Socastee Elementary School gives students a well-rounded education and many chances to keep learning. Hence, it is one of the best schools in South Carolina.
