Delmae Elementary is a public school in the Florence 1 Schools district for kids in grades K–5. The school has between 900 and 1,000 students, and there is one teacher for every 17 students. Public records show that Delmae has a Gifted & Talented track and uses project-based and technology-integrated learning methods. Not all of the students are white; about 70% of them are not. About 48% are Black, 27% are White, 10% are Hispanic, and 6% are Asian or mixed race. Two-thirds of the students can get lunch for free or at a lower price. This shows that the school has a lot of students from different backgrounds and walks of life. When it comes to schoolwork, about 44% of students are good at math and about 54% are good at reading and writing in English. It is thought that each student costs about $12,000 a year. People who live nearby know that the school is in a neighborhood with a lot of homes and a lot of different kinds of people. The average price of a home is about $165,500. In short, Delmae Elementary has a good mix of students, a lot of different teaching programs, and proficiency rates that show where more work needs to be done. It also looks good because it is dedicated to making schools and classrooms that are open to everyone and helpful.
New Playground Name
We are so excited to announce the name of our new playground! Following a school-wide and Robinson community vote we narrowed a large list of names down to four. Since our students will be using the playground on a daily basis, we gave them the final vote! 476.....

Being Updated
Recently the sun shone brightly through the windows of Delmae Elementary. This was the school's annual "Delmae Dads" event, which welcomed fathers, grandfathers, and other male role models. More than 800 men took part, spending the day with their kids in the classrooms, hallways, and on the playground. The students were excited to show their projects to their dads, read to them, and do science and art activities together. One student in fourth grade said, "It's great to have my grandfather here." He helps me in my works. Administrations staff's saw that the school's energy had gone up a lot, with students being more excited and sure of themselves than usual. A teacher in third grade said, "The school feels alive today." "The kids are clearly affected by the fact that there are so many caring adults around." A school counselor said, "This event is about spending time with kids and helping them." It's not about the gifts or treats; it's about being there and involved. Attendance has steadily increased over the years, showing that the community cares about getting families involved. Delmae Elementary thinks the program is a great way to strengthen family ties, boost student confidence, and make the classroom a positive place for all kids to learn.
