The new program "Read & Grow" at Whitehall Elementary School encourages students and their families to read together at home and at school. Teachers say that the program has already made students more interested in reading and more likely to do things at the library.
The school also had a "Creative Arts Day" where students could show off their drawing, acting, and music skills. People from the community and families were invited, and many said that the event helped boost school spirit and bring students, staff, and parents closer together.
