Varennes Elementary School recently started a new "Learning Garden" project on its property. For this project, the kids plant flowers, herbs, and vegetables. This teaches them about nature, science, and being responsible. Teachers say that the garden is already a popular place for hands-on lessons and that it makes students more interested in biology and the environment.
