The "Green Thumb Club" at McLees Elementary School just started up. Students can volunteer after school to take care of a new community garden on campus, where they will grow vegetables and native plants to help them learn about the environment and work together. Teachers say that the garden is already helping kids learn about science, being responsible, and eating well.
