Concord Elementary School just opened a new patio outside for learning. It has shaded seating and a place to read. Students can read, do group work, and eat lunch here. Teachers say that the extra space helps students work together, be creative, and learn in a more relaxed way than in a normal classroom.

This month, Concord Elementary had a "Family STEAM Night" where parents and kids worked on science, art, and math projects together. This got everyone more involved and helped them learn by doing things at home and at school. Families liked the event because it brought the community together and got kids interested in the arts and science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).
