Being Updated
The school's annual "One School, One Book" kickoff was a big success, with lots of students taking part. They got their new shared reading book, and teachers planned themed activities to get everyone excited about reading. Staff members said the event helped connect families and classrooms, especially through the nightly reading challenges that families did at home.
Q1: What kinds of after-school activities does Aiken Elementary have?
Ans. Students can join clubs for art, music, STEM enrichment, and seasonal events, among other things.
Q2: Does the school provide care for kids before and after school?
Ans. Yes, district-run programs offer supervised care, time for homework, and extra activities.
Q3. What does the school do to help new students get used to things?
Ans. Students receive help during their transition through orientation sessions, classroom tours, and teacher check-ins.
Q4. What kinds of technology do students use?
Ans. There are tablets or computers in classrooms, as well as digital platforms for reading, math, and research.
Q5. Do parents want to get involved?
Ans. Families can volunteer, join the PTO, go to school events, and talk to teachers on a regular basis.
