The Career Technology Center of Lackawanna County is getting a lot of attention for its new programs! Paige Rivers and Ben Cerra, two students, recently won the PennDOT Innovations Challenge for their idea to put a seat belt indicator light on the outside of a car to make the roads safer. The school is also putting on a welding camp for kids and adults and is asking for technology donations to help with hands-on learning. The Practical Nursing Program also has a 100% job placement and NCLEX pass rate.

Ans. Yes, students in technical and vocational programs get real-world experience that helps them get ready for the job market.
Q2. Do students get help getting ready for college?
Ans. Yes, of course! Students can take the SAT and ACT and get help planning for college.
Q3. Can students look into more than one career path?
Ans. Yes, the school has a lot of different programs in fields like healthcare, IT, and trades.
Q4. Does the school support professional growth?
Ans. Yes, students learn how to communicate, work as a team, and solve problems, which are all important skills for any job.
Q5. Are there chances to be a leader?
Ans. Yes, students can be leaders in clubs, projects, and simulations of the workplace.
