In 2025, Melrose Elementary School marked key milestones with the Harrisburg School District regaining local control on June 3 after exiting state receivership. On March 18, Melrose shared PSSA testing updates with families. From April 7–18, the Cougar Pride Award nominations recognized staff excellence. On July 22, Melrose will join the Kelly Education Job Fair, highlighting job opportunities within the Harrisburg School District.
