Broughal Middle School is making news with its recent changes! Dr. Brittany Reese is the new principal of the school. She has more than 15 years of experience in education and is dedicated to helping students do well. The school is also involved in programs to improve student health, such as talks about starting a universal meal program to help students' physical and academic health. The school is also getting help from community groups, like CompSci in Bethlehem, which teaches computer science to middle school students in the area.
Q1. What does Broughal Middle School do to make learning fun?
Ans. The school focuses on hands-on projects, lessons that students can participate in, and group activities that make learning fun and useful for them.
Q2. What programs at Broughal MS help kids be creative?
Ans. Students can take part in writing, music, drama, and visual arts workshops to learn more about their artistic skills and improve them.
Q3. What does the school do to help kids grow socially and emotionally?
Ans. Students can learn how to deal with their feelings, make friends, and feel more confident through counseling, peer mentoring, and workshops.
Q4. What activities outside of school are available?
Ans. Clubs, sports, and community service programs let students learn about things that aren't in the classroom.
Q5. How does Broughal MS work with families?
Ans. Regular events, communication between parents and teachers, and workshops all encourage families to be involved in their children's learning and growth.
