Sally Golden, a special-education teacher in the Springfield Public Schools district, was named Oregon’s 2025-26 Teacher of the Year. The award ceremony took place at Two Rivers-Dos Ríos Elementary, surprising her and engaging the students. This is a major honor and reflects very positively on the school community. As part of the recognition, her program (serving young adults with disabilities) received a cash grant of US $5,000, and she personally received US $10,000 from the Oregon Lottery.
