Abernethy Elementary School is located at 2421 SE Orange Ave in the Hosford-Abernethy neighbourhood of Portland. They serve students from grades K-5 and enrolls approximately 330 students with a student-teacher ratio of 19:1. In math, 78% of students reached the proficient level or higher, while in reading, 76% achieved that level or above. The student population is made up of 45% female students and 55% male students. It?????????? is a warm community that the school provides to the students who, in turn, benefit from both strong academics and an inclusive culture. One of the major events was the centenary celebration of the school in 2025 which was not only a hundred years of educational excellence and community involvement but also a reflection of the great impact that the school has had in the area for a long time. Abernethy Elementary is said by the parents to be among the best elementary schools in Oregon, as a result of the great care of the teachers, the very active PTA, and the well-run programs that are open to all children. ??????????
