Yujin Gakuen Elementary School held its PTO meeting on October 16. Families and staff gathered to discuss school updates and upcoming activities.
Q1. How does Yujin Gakuen Elementary support bilingual and bicultural learning?
Ans. Yujin Gakuen provides students an integrated Japanese/English immersion program that starts from kindergarten. So, students not only get the language skills but also the cultural understanding through the two languages.
Q2. How does the school promote global citizenship and student responsibility?
Ans. The mission statement stresses that the student community is diverse and through the education they receive they will be able to become productive citizens of a global society. They will adopt and live by the values of respect, safety, and responsibility.
Q3. How are cultural traditions embedded into the Yujin Gakuen experience?
Ans. Kids learn and experience the Japanese traditional fan dancing, taiko drumming, origami, and they also take part in cultural festivals that not only help in building the community but also the awareness of culture.
Q4. How does Yujin Gakuen ensure a safe, inclusive environment for students?
Ans. The school sets up the standards of being respectful, safe and responsible, and the community is the one that creates the atmosphere in which every child feels supported and valued.
Q5. How are students recognized and celebrated at Yujin Gakuen Elementary?
Ans. Student development, bilingual fluency, and cultural engagement are some of the things that get acknowledged through events, and students are also recognized for both their academic and personal ??????????progress.
