This prestigious award is among the highest accolades available to elementary school teachers nationwide. Johnson's innovative approach and enthusiasm for teaching have made math and science both fun and understandable for her students. She'll be heading to Washington, D.C., for a national awards ceremony, and the National Science Foundation will present her with a $10,000 prize.
