Latest News

Bear Creek Elementary is digging into sustainability and community learning, thanks to a $2,000 grant from a local credit union. Teachers are spearheading the effort, with help from Rotary Club members, OSU Master Gardeners, and local businesses. Students are already getting their hands dirty, planting tulips, getting raised beds ready, and discovering the ins and outs of soil health. Looking ahead, the plan is to build seasonal "hoop houses," establish pollinator gardens, and set up a reading nook with a mini-library right in the garden, ensuring outdoor learning is available to every student.
