Being Updated
The most recent news says, Rosa Parks Elementary School made the news recently when its students went to a Global Gardens coing camp where they learned how to co tamales, chicken wings, and other dishes with the help of award-winning chefs. This hands-on program teaches students how to co by having them make meals they can make at home. It also helps them gain confidence and life skills. Union Public Schools is also actively hiring for its three-year-old, full-day, year-round early childhood program at the Rosa Parks Early Childhood Education Center. The district is making the program easier for low-income families to get by allowing families outside of the Union area to apply as long as they meet the income requirements. There are still 118 openings. In the meantime, the district's chosen nonprofit, Reading Partners, will start tutoring at Rosa Parks Elementary in the 2025–26 school year. During school hours, volunteers will help students with their reading skills one-on-one. The goal is to improve basic reading skills.
