Being Updated
NWE's staff, students, and their families gathered this October for a fun-filled evening on the Trojan Trail, all part of our Story Walk Family Night. As families walked the trail, they followed the story of Katy Hudson's *The Golden Acorn*, reading each page as they went. The Trojans Read the Way Book Mobile was also there, giving students the opportunity to pick out a book to take home, along with a popsicle. A big thank you to all the families who came out to enjoy this special night. Events like this really help bring our community together while also celebrating the simple pleasure of reading.
NWE is thrilled to recognize Sydney LaManque, a fourth-grade teacher. "I truly cannot imagine teaching anywhere else!" she exclaimed. "I love NWE so dearly and feel so honored to be nominated amongst such incredible, accomplished, and compassionate teachers." Outside of the classroom, she enjoys reading, barre and Pilates, traveling and cooking with her husband, Marc, and taking walks with her dog, Boston.
