Being Updated
There hasn't been much news lately about Wilson Elementary School in Oklahoma City, but there have been some changes in the Oklahoma City Public Schools district that are important to know about. In September 2025, a student was found with a gun on a school campus in the district. This led to a lot of talk about gun safety rules and how easy it is for kids to get guns in schools. This event didn't happen at Wilson Elementary, but it has gotten parents, teachers, and administrators in the whole district talking about how to keep students safe and what steps to take to stop things like this from happening again. Also, a new law that went into effect in August 2025 limits public schools to a maximum of two virtual days per year. This means that students can only learn remotely if they are sick or the weather is bad. This law applies to all schools in the district, including Wilson Elementary. It could change how classes are scheduled and planned for the 2025–26 school year.
