In July 2025, district leaders broke ground on a $4.9 million project to construct a new gymnasium and safe-room addition at Ridgecrest Elementary. The 7,500-square-foot facility will address long-standing needs for a full gym and tornado/hurricane-style safe room, while also upgrading drainage and restroom facilities
