Being Updated
Peters Elementary School's "Panther Pride Pal" program, which is run by students which makes sure that no child feels alone on the playground or in the cafeteria, is getting praise from all over the state. The Oklahoma State Department of Education has called this strong anti-bullying campaign a model program for social-emotional learning. It has changed the culture of the school. The program carefully matches older students with younger ones for structured activities, group projects, and simple, friendly check-ins. The results have been huge.
