Lomond Elementary School is part of the latest facilities planning by Shaker Heights Schools, which finds Lomond and Mercer are the next elementary schools to be renovated in the 2027-2028 phase. The district also released its 2026-2027 academic calendar and staggered start schedule, with the first student day scheduled for Aug. 18, 2026. These updates give Lomond families more clarity around upcoming school year planning, future building improvements and districtwide transition timelines.
