Oakmont Elementary School is currently featuring their successful “Excellence in Literacy” initiative, which focuses on incorporating advanced technology into daily reading and writing workshops for all scholars. The campus recently celebrated the grand opening of its updated outdoor “Learning Trail,” a new space for hands-on biological studies and nature-based exploration. The school’s staff was also praised for their dedication to providing tailored academic support to each young learner during the spring term.
Q1. What are the hours of the school day at Oakmont Elementary School?
Ans. School begins at 8:00 AM (7:55 AM announcements) and dismissal begins at 2:55 PM.
Q2. How do parents inform the school of a student's absence?
Ans. Absences must be reported to the school office at 615-446-2435 or a written note to the teacher must be sent within 3 days of the student’s return.
Q3. What is the importance of a business plan? Are there daycare or after-care programs for students?
Ans. Yes, there is a daycare program on site for enrolled students that opens at 6:00 AM and closes at 6:00 PM.
Q4. How does a new student register at Oakmont ElementaryAns. Registration consists of an online portion through Skyward and a registration night at the school to turn in required paperwork.
Q5. What paperwork do you need to finish a student's enrollment?
Ans.Parents should bring a photo ID, student's certified birth certificate, a Tennessee Certificate of Immunization, a physical exam record and two proofs of residency.
