Back in March '25, the RED Program at Hughes Elementary got students playing Pickleball! They picked up the rules and some strategy and teamed up—all while getting some exercise and hanging out with friends. On February 28, the school had a Community Readers Day. People from town came in to read to the kids, which was really nice for getting them into books. A'Lanni Du-Clark, a first-grader, grabbed third place in the Comets Coloring Contest – awesome! Last October, the school did its usual Trick or Treat Street. It's a safe and fun way to do Halloween, and it’s always a good way for the school and families to connect and make some memories.
