In March 2025, Central Park Middle School won the Outstanding Overall Program Award at the first Capital Region What's So Cool About Manufacturing student video competition. Students worked with Environment One Corp to make a project-based video that showed off jobs in local manufacturing. The award was given to students for work that linked what they learned in class to careers in their area.
